JACOB L. FLASH, -- OBITUARY

Jacob L. Flash, 73, of 272 Essex Street, died Monday afternoon at a local hospital. He was born in Russia Sept. 10, 1892 the son of Mayer S. and Bessie Flash. Mr. Flash, who had been a painting contractor in Bangor since 1917, was a member of Congregation Beth Abraham, B’Nai B’Rith and of Chevra Kadisha. He is survived by his wife, Marion D. Flash of Bangor; two sons, Malcolm H. of Newton, Mass. and Sumner E. of Randolph, Mass.; one daughter, Mrs. Rosamond Grant of Newton, Mass.; a brother, Nathan, of Buenos Aires, Argentina; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Jewish Community Chapel on Center Street, with Rabbi Henry Isaacs officiating. Interment will be in Beth Abraham Cemetery. Memorial Week will be observed at the residence.
