SARA ZITANER -- OBITUARY

Mrs. Sara Zitaner, 68, of 289 Essex St. widow of George Zitaner, died Sunday afternoon at a Bangor hospital following a short illness. Born in Russia, she was a longtime resident of Bangor. She was a member of the Beth Abraham Congregation, the Eastern Maine General Hospital Auxiliary, B’nai B’rith, Hadassah, and Sisterhood. Surviving are two sons, Benjamin Zitaner of Bangor and Dr. Morris Zitaner of Philadelphia; two daughters, Mrs. Sue Atkin of Miami, and Mrs. Charlotte Goldman of Newton, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Gopan and Miss Rose Berg of Bangor; three brothers Abraham, Arthur, and Clarence of Bangor; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
