SAMUEL LIEBERMAN -- OBITUARY

 
Samuel Lieberman, Well Known Local Businessman, Dies Samuel L. Lieberman, 45, of 193 Nowell Road, a well known Bangor businessman, died Thursday at the Eastern Maine General Hospital. He was active in civic and community affairs and was the proprietor of the Carroll Cut Rate Store on Main Street. Mr. Lieberman was a member of the board of directors of the Bangor Community Council; a member of Congregation Beth Abraham, B’nai B’rth, the Shrine, American Legion, the Jewish War Veterans, and was a Zionist. He was born in Bangor, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Lieberman of Parkview Avenue, and attended the Bangor schools. Besides his parents, he is survived by: his wife, Ruth Goldsmith Lieberman and two sons, David and Barry Lieberman, of Bangor; and three brothers, Dr. Arthur Lieberman of Bangor, Max Lieberman of Boston and Leo Lieberman of Los Angeles, Calif. Services will be held at the Jewish Community Chapel on Center Street this afternoon at 12:30 o’clock.
