Sam Smith, 88, in Bangor May 28, local hospital, unexpectedly, Born in Poland, son of Abraham and Mollie (Liberman) Smith. Well knownlocal cattle dealer. Member of the Beth Abraham Synagogue. Surviving are his wife, Sonja Smith, Bangor; One son, Nate Smith, Bangor; 5 Daughters, Miss Pauline Smith, Bangor, Mrs. Hazel Robinson, Bangor; Mrs. Louis (Beulah) Rolnick, Bangor; Mrs. Morris (Sarah) Feldman, Hartford, Connecticut; and Mrs. Seymour (Sylvia) Horwitz, Schenectady, New York; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at the Jewish Funeral Chapel, Center Street, Bangor, Thursday at 4pm. Rabbi Henry Isaacs officiating. Memorial week to be observed at 78 Leighton Street.
