Oscar Cox was born in Portland, Maine in 1905. He attended MIT and received a law degree from Yale University. Here in 1941, as a key author of the Lend-Lease Act, he stands directly behind President Roosevelt at the signing. The Lend-Lease Act was drafted as a principal means for providing military aid to foreign nations during WWII. #jewishhistory #jewishmaine #lendlease #ww2 #portlandhistory #presidentroosevelt #oscarscox
