BANGOR- BULAH “BETTY” ROLNICK , 81, of Bangor, died Sept. 28, 1996, at a local hospital. She was born in bangor, May 15, 1915,the daughter of Sam and Gussie Smith. She was formerly an active volunteer at the Eastern Maine Medical Center Blood Bank. Betty was a member of the Beth Abraham Synagogue; a life member of the Beth Abraham Sisterhood; the Hadassah; B’nai B’rith Women; the Bangor Jewish Community Council; and the Senior Citizens Friendship Club. Surviving are her husband Louis I. Rolnick of Bangor; two sons and daughters in law, Michael and Louise Rolnick of Bangor, Jerry and Suzanne Rolnick of West Caldwell, NJ.; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Sandy Podolsky of Bangor; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; three sisters; Hazel Robinson of Bangor, Sara Feldman of West Hartford, Conn., and Sylvia Horowitz of Scenectady, N.Y.; one brother, Nate Smith of Bangor; nieces, nephews and cousins.
