VIOLET GORDON -- OBITUARY

 
Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Bangor- Mrs. Violet Gordon, 70, formerly of Bangor, died Jan. 30, 1979, at a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., hospital following a brief illness. She was the widow of Ben Gordon. She was born June 13, 1908, in Bangor, daughter of Samuel and Rose Gotlieb. She was a member of the Congregation of Beth Abraham, a member and past president of the Beth Abraham Sisterhood. She is survived by two sons, Herbert A. Gordon of Sudbury, Mass., and Arthur E. Gordon of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; three granddaughters; three brothers, Louis Gotlieb of Temecula, Calif.; Hyman and Peter Gotlieb, both of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Jewish Funeral Chapel, Center Street, Bangor, with Rabbi Henry Isaacs officiating. Interment will take place at Beth Abraham Cemetery, Bangor. Memorial week will be observed at 19 Naylor ST., Bangor. Arrangements by Brookings-Smith.
