Note: Coll S-8236, Misc Box 306/13
Three letters, 1898-1912, in Yiddish, written by or sent to Rev. D. Rudofsky, Hudson, New York. The first letter, 1898 August 17, to Rudofsky from an unidentified author in Portland, Maine, is a complaint about the city of Portland "in which there is no peace among the Jews and the system of Kashrut is in shambles." The second, 1898, by Rudofsky to an unidentified correspondent, is a letter of recommendation for a recently published book by Rev. Abraham Shereskevsky [also spelled Sharshafsky], a rabbi in Portland. The third, 1912 March, from Portland, Maine, is addressed to Rudufsky in Hudson, New York.
