Barney Cooper dies Friday at age of 74. Barney Cooper founder and president of United Beef Company died Friday morning at his residence 84 Park View Avenue Bangor, following a brief illness. He was born in Russia June 10th 1893, but had been resident of Bangor for over 60 years where he was a member of Beth Abraham Synagogue, B’nai B’rith, and the Zionist Organization of America. Mr. Cooper also was director and member of the Board of Trustees of the Hebrew Academy of Bangor Surviving are his wife, Martha (Striar) Cooper of Bangor; a son, Donald of Bangor; and two nephews.
