The collection consists of numerous letters, greeting cards and memos addressed to William David Barry and/or Debra Barry, written by Patricia Davidson Reef; Photocopied newspaper clippings containing articles written by or pertaining to Pat Davidson Reef, photographs of Pat, her family, and the Levey Funeral Chapel; and a short story by Pat entitled The Good Shepherd. Patricia Davidson Reef, born in Falmouth Foreside, was a teacher, author, art reviewer and cultural observer. She has contributed to such publications as the Kennebec Journal," the Falmouth Forecaster," the Maine Sunday Telegram," and Bittersweet Magazine," amongst others. She served as Regional Art Editor of Art New England" and is author of Bernard Langlais, Sculptor (Woolwich, Me.: The Kennebec River Press, 1965), and Dahlov Ipcar, Artist (Falmouth, Me.: The Kennebec River Press, 1987). Pat's parents, David D. and Sally Greenwald Davidson, were prominent members of the Jewish community and business community, her father being a founder and co-owner of Day's Jewelry Store on Congress Street during its classical era.
