BANGOR –Leo Viner, 59, of 308 Clyde Road, died May 6, West Palm Beach, Fla. He was born in Bangor June 4, 1914, the son of Harry and Gitel (Lucarno) Viner. He attended Miami University and was graduated from the University of Maine in the class of 1937. He was a retired shoe manufacturer, Viner Bros., Inc. He was a member of the Beth Abraham Synagogue, the Congregation Beth Israel, a past president of the Jewish community Council, a board member of the Salvation Army, a very active in musical circles through the area, played in the Bangor Band and the Bangor Symphony Orchestra. He was a U.S. Army veteran of QQI. He is survived by his widow, Celia (Goos) Viner, Bangor; one son Richard Viner, New Haven, Conn.; one daughter, Miss Deborah Viner, Boston, Mass.; three brothers, William, Samuel, and Benjamin Viner, all of Bangor. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. at the Jewish Funeral Chapel, Center Street, Bangor with Rabbit Henry Isaacs officiating. Memorial week will be observed at 3208 Clyde Road.
