Sanitary Market

circa 1932 - private collection

Thank you to Jim Hurwitz for the photo
Note: "Sanitary Market was owned by the Abromsons of Lewiston and Auburn. My grandmother Celia Supovitz (nee Abromson) is to the left of her father Louis Abromson/ Her brothers Ben and John, also in the photo, turned it into a chain of three (or more?) modern supermarkets in Lewiston, Auburn and Rumford until their son Michael sold it all to Hannaford Brothers in 1986."
