MAX GOPAN -- OBITUARY

 
Max Gopan, 46, of 302 French Street, died Friday at Veterans Administration Hopsital in Togus after a long illness. Born June 1st, 1920 in Oakfield the son of Samuel and Fannie (Nisenbaum) Gopan, he was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans Organizations, The Beth Abraham Synagogue and the B’nai B’rith. Mr. Gopan was associated with Hammond Motors in Bangor. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida (Shapiro) Gopan of Bangor; three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Cohen of Boston, Miss Marilyn and Miss Jean Gopan of Bangor; a brother, Joseph Gopan of Bangor; a grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
