Abraham Motuik, 88, of 28 Newbury Street, died June 24 at a local hospital. He was born in Russia, May 3, 1887, son of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Motuik. He was retired from the Penobscot Beef and Provision Co. He was a member of the Beth Abraham Synagogue and the B'nai Birth Zionist Organization of America. Surviving are his wife Bessie Weinstein Motuik of Bangor; Several brothers and sisters living in Russia and Israel; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 4pm at the Jewish Funeral Chapel Center Street Bangor, with Rabbi Henry Isaacs officiating. Burial was in Beth Abraham Cemetery, Bangor. Friends who wish may contribute in his memory to the charity of their choice. Arrangements were made by Brookings Smith. | |
