SAMUEL STRIAR -- OBITUARY

 
BAYSIDE, N.Y. -- Samuel Striar, 75, of 143 Grove Street, Bangor, died in Bayside, N.Y., Sunday. He was born in Russia, the son of David and Sarah Striar. Mr. Striar operated the Sam Striar Hardware Store in New York City before his retirement. He was a member of Congregation Beth Abraham and the Kadisha Committee of the Synagogue. Surviving are four sons, Bernard of Bangor, William and Morse, both of Bayside, N.Y., and Robert of Washington D.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Rita Pepper of Bayside, N.Y.; two brothers, Louis and Philip, both of Bangor; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lieberman, Mrs. Barney Cooper, Mrs. Harris Cohen and Mrs. Jack Wald, all of Bangor, 16 grandchildren and serveral nieces and nephews.
